My coworker the other day remarked, “I love people who cant help but be creative.” We were referring to Snake from ‘Snake Skin’ and Sean from ‘TWAG’/’Hello Floridads’ who both have found the visual medium to be as rewarding as the aural one.
Jake Harms is another creative who does not know idle time. When he’s not playing in ‘What Moon Things’ or producing the most recent (excellent) ‘Bears’ record, he’s writing affective and honest solo work.
This first track, Fire, is released under the name ‘HARMS’ and is promised to be the first part of an upcoming LP. The song builds on a wonderful keyboard tone that layers some ‘Women’ inspired guitar licks over Harms voice as he reminisces about idle time spent in backyards.
