Portland, Ore., band Johnny Raincloud emailed me and told me this video cost them $40 to make, which sold me. This song has a lo-fi, old-school Modest Mouse vibe, and it’s proof that your $8,000 kickstarter for one music video is dumb and just something you posted because your weak mind cannot create on a budget and you think “good” equals “big production.” Quake in the shadow of these budget-minded men, who shot this on a 50-foot roll of film.
