THE OPHELIAS – FOG

Sometimes you hear something and your body lights up more than a good cup of coffee could ever do. In ‘Fog’, The Ophelias have created the opening to that coming of age film whose name you can never remember, but you never forget how it made you feel.  There is a sense of nostalgia captured here, but its not tied to a specific time or place from memory. It’s more the essence of happy longing that’s bound up in the bits of this song. One of the only other bands that has ever given me that vibe is The Eames Era. (Also worth checking out).

MY FAVORITE MOMENT IS ABOUT HALFWAY THRU WHEN THEY SAY ‘YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID’. ITS SO PLAYFUL AND CHEEKY AS IT DRIPS AWAY.

THE FULL RECORD IS OUT JULY 13TH AND I CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF THE ONLY TWO TRACKS THEY HAVE OUT NOW. THIS IS GONNA BE SO GOOD.
