This song amps me up more than any Van Halen song ever could. The “schlum schlum” of the low synth followed by the catchy as all hell cascading melody is one of the best openers of a song I’ve heard this year.
The synths of this track immediately remind me of one of my favorite sounds of all time, the Roland JX-10 lead synths from the Berlin/Giorgio Moroder song from Top Gun, “Take My Breath Away.” (I’m really showing my hand here.)
This song is way more upbeat and catchy, fused with some funky bass-lines and impeccable vocals. It’s an absolute ear worm, and just one track of what I consider to be an incredible album.
THIS ENTIRE ALBUM IS POP-PERFECTION. PRODUCED JUST ENOUGH, AND HAS ENOUGH ORIGINAL FLAVOR TO SOUND UNIQUE. KEEP AN EYE ON THIS BAND.
